Ohana means family.

I come from an extremely small family. Growing up it was always Mum, Dad & Sissy(Casey/sister). The rest of our family is all over the place... Illinois, Florida, Rhode Island, Connecticut and England. Whenever Mum passed away in February of 2010, Sissy & I became extremely close and depended on each other for a lot. (Especially emotional support) Now sister is starting a family of her own! Super excited about this! Expanding our family & also, the first baby in the family. Our little David Christopher Dixon is expected to arrive January 5, 2013.

Just starting :)

So I Finally have some extra time to start a blog! I've recently decided to take on the journey of changing my eating habits. I've also found a new found love for photography. I would like to start a side business outside of my main career. This shall be hard but nothing is impossible... right?

First off, I'm Shelby! I'm 20 & I was born & raised in Houston, Texas! My parents are from Illinois & Rhode Island! I'm currently a full time student (18hrs/6classes) studying business management & I also have a full time job working under the Human Resources department for a web hosting company.

This blog will be for updates with my new found love for photography & of course some of my fitness progress!
